The Plainville Rescue Squad Inc. has three trucks,
Truck one is the dive unit with 10 complete scuba sets and portable air compressor.
They have contracts with several counties surrounding Rooks county to help in recovery efforts.
The second truck is equiped with "jaws-of-life". "knife -of -life", and 6 air lift bags
The third truck is equipped with the "jaws-of-life".
They sponsor the annual Demolition Derby at the Rooks County Fair as a money raising event.
All proceeds go to maintaining equipment and buying new equipment.
Neil Fischer was appointed as director in 1965 and still serves in that position.
